The SmartProcess® Global Performance Advisor reduces operating costs by tracking unit heat rate penalty costs over time and indicating dollars lost due to equipment performance deviations from design.

Plant personnel can then take corrective action to defray these losses. The Global Performance Advisor provides customers with critical performance data to increase overall plant efficiency.

	Efficient Operating Modes The Global Performance Advisor models plant equipment and overall heat balance, adapting to the plant’s changing conditions and determining the most efficient operating modes.
	Data Validation The Global Performance Advisor includes a full set of steam and air property tables, and a data validation module that can be used on signals that have a tendency to drift.
	OPC-Compliant Client The Global Performance Advisor package is fully OPC-compliant and communicates with any DCS OPC server. It also includes a web server that dynamically updates performance results over a plant or corporate LAN or WAN.

According to EPRI, the industry average
savings for a 500-MW plant with 0.5% heat rate improvement equals $200,00 annually.
