Unit Response Optimizer

The SmartProcess® Unit Response Optimizer software increases ramping capabilities by using actual plant data to create a model of process response and unit characteristics.

The non-linear and fuzzy-logic-based model analyzes near real-time plant data to determine optimum performance conditions and react and correct plant responses.

 



Smooth Operation

The Unit Response Optimizer reduces plant operation costs with control tasks that allow for smoother operation of main components like pulverizers and FD and ID fans.

Fuel Calculation
The Unit Response Optimizer responds to unit dynamic load demands by calculating the proper amount of fuel and corresponding pressure response.

Internal Models
Internal dynamic models for steam pressure, unit load, and steam generator response allow the Unit Response Optimizer to forecast key manipulated variables such as fuel flow for the boiler and the turbine control valve in a coordinated mode, allowing for quick and stable changes.

Improved Unit Flexibility
Being able to run a unit in a stable manner at low load levels is key in the power industry. The Unit Response Optimizer improves unit stability across a broader load spectrum. This improved stability delivers faster, more efficient unit startups.
