Using an intelligent modeling tool, the SmartProcess® Cyclone Boiler Optimizer dynamically optimizes the boiler and combustion process to produce heat rate improvements.

The Cyclone Boiler Optimizer has the ability to dynamically optimize the process at all times, even while the plant is moving through load ranges. This feature produces significant advantages over steady state packages that are executable only when boiler load is stable.

The Cyclone Boiler Optimizer increases boiler efficiency while maintaining emissions, loss on ignition (LOI), and a number of other cost-impacting factors. Designed for open or closed-loop use specifically for with any size or style of cyclone boiler, it achieves and maintains maximum efficiency in the balances of boiler processes.




Model-Based Approach

The Cyclone Boiler Optimizer uses a model-based approach that learns and adjusts to plant conditions to provide advanced control capabilities unattainable by traditional control systems.

Operations & Maintenance Effects
The Cyclone Boiler Optimizer improves heat rate, permits faster ramp rates, improves turbine life, and reduces stress on boiler pressure parts.

Optimization
By providing predictive control of changes in the boiler due to load, fuel BTU quality, radiant energy absorption, and spray valve performance, the Cyclone Boiler Optimizer improves the overall cyclone operation.

Plant Performance
The Cyclone Boiler Optimizer balances and optimizes the fuel-to-air ratio to maximize heat rate without compromising efficient plant performance.
