Description
Designed to teach the Ovation Windows 3.1 software utilities from a high level: how to access Ovation Studio, touch point records, control sheets and graphics, save and download. Ovation database point records and algorithms are not taught. Prerequisites are Unix courses, OV100-UNX, OV200-UNX, and OV210-UNX. Topics include: basic network architecture and components, Operator functions, developer studio features, control builder, graphics builder, and some basic configuration details. The course is intended for, but not limited to, students with a strong Solaris background.
Course Objectives
Upon successful completion of this course, using the reference material provided,
the student will be able to:
Describe the functions and differences of the Ovation Windows network and its components
Monitor plant processes using Ovation Windows data acquisition tools
Navigate and understand the Ovation Developer Studio
Demonstrate a basic level of proficiency using the Ovation 3.1 control builder
Demonstrate a basic level of proficiency using the graphics builder
Understand and implement some basic Ovation Windows configuration changes
