Prerequisites
There are no prerequisites for students who will use the PCH in multi-drop
WDPF® installations, although students who are responsible for the entire
WDPF installation should also attend either SYS (WDPF System
User) or SYM (WDPF System
Maintenance) for a more comprehensive understanding of WDPF system installation.
Description
This course is intended for system engineers or individuals who are responsible
for developing custom application programs or those who maintain, troubleshoot
or modify software on the PCH ISA or Microchannel-based drop. The course
presents the functionality of the ISA and Microchannel-based PCH within the
WDPF environment and various PCH hardware and software packages.
Objectives
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Configure the basic ISA or Microchannel-based PCH drop
- Load, configure and use various utility packages
- Use the HMI and engineering functions
- Use basic OS/2 functions
