Prerequisites
A basic background in modulating/logic control and digital computer techniques
is helpful.
Description
This course is for the technician or engineer who is responsible for maintaining
the WDPF system or for modifying WDPF software. The course covers
isolating software problems and making system changes. The course describes
the general use and functions of various drops in the WDPF system including
the use of the engineer workstation as the basic tool for building process
diagrams, the DPU database and modulating and logic control. The student
will build all programs necessary to implement and control a simulated or
actual process.
Objectives
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Monitor and change system parameters
- Modify custom graphics
- Modify a system database
- Create and modify DPU control programs
- Load and initialize diagrams and DPU programs
