Prerequisites
A basic background in modulating/logic control and digital computer techniques
is helpful.
Description
This course is designed for the engineer who is responsible for generating
and modifying WDPF® application programs. This course describes the general
use and functions of various drops in the WDPF system including use
of the Engineer Workstation as the basic tool for building process diagrams,
the DPU database and modulating and logic control. The student will design
and build all programs necessary to implement and control an actual or simulated
process. This course may also be used in place of SYM (WDPF System Maintenance) as a prerequisite to 7LM (
WDPF Level 7 Maintenance).
Objectives
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Use the operator station to monitor or change system
parameters
- Create and modify custom graphics
- Construct a WDPF system database
- Create and modify DPU control programs
- Load and initialize the system
- Manipulate files and directories
