WDPF® RISC workstation-based devices, known as WEStations,
provide an open platform for implementing a variety of operator,
engineering, historian, logger and communication server functions.
These workstations also facilitate communications to other
networks and devices through their use of open operating systems
and communications protocols. WEStation functional units or
"drops" connect to both the Westnet Data Highway and the Ethernet
Information Highway.
The WDPF® WEStation Historian provides mass storage and
retrieval of process data, alarms, sequence-of-events (SOE)
data, logs, operator actions, and event (trip) reports. Data
is collected at intervals of 1 or 0.1 seconds and stored on-line
for later retrieval and analysis. The speed, power, and flexibility
of the Historian allow it to organize vast amounts of real-time
process data and present meaningful information to operators,
engineers, and maintenance personnel.
WEStation Historian Features:
- Speed, power, and flexibility of Historian facilitate
organization of vast amounts of real-time process data.
- Capacity to store online and of-line with automatic cataloging,
provides easy retrieval of process information.
- Capability to archive data to optical disk provides long-term
6/13/07
- Capability to combine Historian and Log Server functions
on a single set of electronics minimizes hardware costs.
